Region & farm
Region
Minas Gerais is Brazil’s largest coffee-growing state, producing about 55% of the country’s total output. Farms typically range from 10 to 100 hectares. The Matas de Minas Region, near the borders of Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo, is known for its mountainous terrain and ideal climate, producing specialty coffees with bright acidity, balanced sweetness, and complex aromas.
Farm
Coocafé Cooperative brings 45 years of coffee-growing heritage, representing over 10,000 Brazilian farmers. It delivers consistently high-quality coffee year-round, supports nine social and environmental projects impacting 6,000+ people, and built South America’s first industrial Net Zero unit to reduce CO₂ emissions. The name Tamanduá honors the giant anteater, a local symbol of resilience and adaptation.
Processing & Flavor
Processed as Brazil's classic natural, the beans are carefully sun-dried on patios for around 12 days, allowing their intrinsic character to fully develop. They are then gently finished in mechanical dryers for precise moisture control and left to rest, ensuring stability and the development of rich, nuanced flavours.
The Taste Idea
Tamanduá capsules bring balance to our lineup with its simple and low acidity profile. Creamy body, chocolate sweetness, hazelnuts, all balanced out to create an ideal choice for those who are looking for everyday coffee which works great with milk.
